It is no exaggeration to describe Thomas Mobley as a physical phenomenon.  Combing unusual strength with almost superhuman athletic ability, Mobley's talent makes him a match-up that no defender wants to face.  While it is hard not to focus exclusively on Mobley's incredible leaping ability and lightning quickness, doing so gives only a very limited picture of this remarkably well rounded and skillful player.

Mobley dunks the ball so spectacularly and so dramatically that defenses routinely invest half of their personnel and most of their energy trying to keep him from the rim.  Unfortunately for them, Mobley can't be kept from the rim.  Worse still, through an intense work ethic, Mobley has developed a hugely accurate three point shot, with which he consistently punishes defenses that bias towards preventing his penetration.

Although he shoots with enormous elevation and from deep range, as a college senior shooting better than 45%, Mobley was among the entire nation's leaders for three point field goal percentage.

If you ever find yourself matched up against Mobley, don't be too hard on yourself.  He has so many weapons you really can't expect to stop them all.  Most importantly, if you see Mobley slashing through the lane, do not jump!
